Sommelier

Following our successful opening last year, Cheal’s Restaurant Knowle is recruiting for an experienced Sommelier to join our passionate team.

Working for a highly trained and experienced management team you will be in charge of running our entire wine programme. Providing first class service and developing a rapport with all of your guests.

– 4 day working week, Wednesday to Saturday

– 3 days off including Sunday!

– Free staff meal every shift

– A share of Tronc & Cash Tips

– 22.5 Days Holiday per year

– Christmas Day off

– First class training and development

The Role

  • Assist the General Manager in the day to day operation of the property
  • A hands on role overseeing the beverage offer and over 100 bins
  • Ensure high standards are being maintained across all areas
  • Gain feedback to improve all aspects of the customer journey
  • Upsell wines confidently to all guests
  • Deliver wine flights with expert knowledge

 

The Person

  • Experienced Sommelier from a multi rosette or Michelin background – this is essential
  • Calm under pressure with a track record of training and developing staff
  • Ability to provide a memorable dining experience
  • Well presented, enthusiastic and passionate
  • Some experience of figures would be ideal; forecasting wage costs, average spend per head etc
